Hello, I’m Susan Sirigatti, founder of TotSpark Ready.
Who could have imagined, years ago, when I was a teacher and the mother of a young child, that my child would inspire a business years in the future? That business is TotSpark whose mission is to strengthen young children’s learning potential and healthy development by providing vibrant, fun-filled teaching experiences through play and child-parent bonding.
How did this come about? My son Carson and I loved to read and “cuddy” together. That was his way of saying “cuddle.” “Let’s cuddy, Mommy, and read me a story.” I still cherish those warm and cozy moments when we cuddled and read together
I was a teacher, so reading aloud to children came pretty naturally to me, and Carson loved it. It was a fun time for both of us. I would really get into it and start using different voices for the various characters. We had a great time.
As an educator and parent, I became interested in early childhood education and years later, after Carson grew up and I retired, I was able to devote more time to this interest, reading and studying about it. What I learned was that, contrary to what many people think, children learn from birth on (some say even before) and that this early learning needs to be nurtured in order for children to develop to their fullest potential.
The earliest years are when the foundation is built for a child’s present and future health, happiness, productivity, and success. I want to share my experiences and knowledge with parents to help them make sure their children get what they need.
The result is TotSpark.
Responsible parenting today has become more and more difficult. In addition to the usual concerns about bringing up happy, healthy children, there are new challenges that parents have to deal with -- their growing feelings of helplessness in working at odds with the negative influences of the culture. I empathize with parents and want to help. That’s TotSpark.
TotSpark’s primary goal is to provide children, parents, and teachers with a fun-filled, play-based way to foster learning, social/behavioral development, creative, independent thinking, self-confidence, and child-parent bonding.
That’s why I’ve developed the TotSpark play learning tools along with a fun, play-based method to be enjoyable, easy to use, and effective. TotSpark does all the preparation for the parent’s (and teacher’s) use, basing our products on the most important cognitive and neurological research in the field of early childhood education.
TotSpark helps parents give their children “a smarter beginning.”
